The Induction program for MBA (2016-17) was celebrated in the college with a great enthusiasm. The dignitaries present on the occasion were Dr. Sachin Vernekar- Dean, Faculty of Management Studies BVDU and Director, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Dr. William Smith, the founder of St. Gabriel Education Society, Mr. Sagar Balwadkar, Secretary, SKP and Dr. Sajid Alvi, Director, DIMR.
With a hope that darkness, the enemy of knowledge disappeares and the world enlightens with wisdom, our Induction program began with lighting of the lamp.
The dignitaries were felicitated with a sapling of our love and the token of our appreciation.
Dr. Sajid Alvi addressed the students with his wise words, motivating them to work hard throughout the year.
The hall, soon, turned into the garden of smiles as Dr. Sachin Vernekar came on the dice. People came to know that besides having an outstanding contribution in the field of Commerce and Management, he knows the art of hypnotizing the audience with his interesting way of speaking.
Dr. William Smith who has held a number of positions such as Corporator, Board Member, Finance Committee Chairman, Education Chairman and Mayor, shared his profound knowledge with the students.
The next session came with the wonderful surprises for the students. It was held by Lt. Col. Sameer Kulkarni, the founder and director of Woodpecker. His great experience of training the students in personality and self-development brought the best from the students and made them realize their potential.
The second day of the induction program brought few more intellectuals to share their knowledge with us. First, it was Mr. Charles Verghese who has 2 decaded of experience in Banking and Information Technology. He guided the students towards accomplishing their goals and have a clear vision about their career.
Second, it was Mr. Bharat Vedpathak who discussed the different aspects of Human Resource Management.
DIMR honored the success achieved by its MBA students. We are proud of our students. They not only did well in academics but also, with their sincerity, set an example for the generations to come.
The program was led forward by the activities organized by the students. They prepared charts and performed street plays on various social issues. The themes were Women Empowerment, Zero Gender Difference and Social Media. Their active participation and interest made us sure about their diligence.
