Industrial Visit to Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), Pune

Our students had an enriching and insightful Industrial Visit to STPI Pune, one of India’s premier organizations supporting the growth of the IT industry. We were privileged to have Mr. Avinash Sharma, Joint Director, who briefed the students about the vision, services, and statutory support provided by STPI to IT companies. He highlighted the infrastructure facilities, regulatory assistance, and the vital role STPI plays in promoting IT exports and innovation. Mr. Prafulla Patinge, Additional Director, elaborated on the functioning of the Incubation Center and explained how STPI nurtures startups and technology-driven enterprises through mentorship, infrastructure, and policy support.
🎯 Objectives of the Visit:
• To understand the various services and facilities offered by STPI Pune, including infrastructure and statutory services.
• To learn about initiatives and programs encouraging entrepreneurship and R&D in Information Technology.
• To gain insights into the latest trends, policies, and regulations influencing the IT industry.
• To understand STPI’s contribution to the regional and national IT ecosystem.
💡 Highlights of the Visit:
Students explored key areas such as Data Centers, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and Networking. The visit provided clarity on the critical role of data centers in secure data storage and management, and how IT infrastructure supports seamless digital operations.
